Did you see this image on my Facebook page?
Or this post teasing everyone with my quickly made Pink Peonies?
I had so much Creating them and now I’d love to share how I did it.
And it’s easy-peasy-japa-neasy.
Here’s What You Need:
Here’s How:
Step 1 – Lay out the templates onto
concertina folded crepe paper
Step 2 – Using both hands, gently stretch each petal sideways . . . this is why you need to cut with the grain top to bottom
Step 3 – Each petal will be slightly larger and also curled
Step 4 – Be gentle when stretching as you can tear the crepe paper if you pull too hard
Step 5- Using the toothpick, apply a small amount of glue to the base of one of the thin petals (3)
Step 6 – Gently roll the petal into a loose cylinder
Step 7 – Grab your toothpick again and the second of the thin petals and gently roll around the first petal
Step 8 – Wrap and glue the third thin petal – this is the central bud of your peonie (woo hoo!)
Step 9 – Glue and wrap the ten middle-sized petals, one by one, to the bud
Step 10 – Finish the peonie by glueing the last twenty (large) petals

What sort of colours would you like to make yours in?
I’ve got another tutorial in the works so you can learn how to turn your crepe paper into two-tone.
