I am always looking for ideas to make my Inspiration Wall (check it out here & here)
just a little more amazing!
I spend more of my waking hours looking at it than anything else in the world.
So it genuinely has to inspires me.
.
At the moment, I’m also on the lookout for some fun and free inexpensive decorations to showcase at the Wedding Fair I am attending in a week.
(OMG – I only have one week left Arghhhh!)
.
So I have made one of the fastest garlands that I have ever made – it seriously took longer to photograph the tutorial than it did to Create the garlands
They’re SO quick and easy.
What You Need:
.
.
Here’s How:
.
Step 1 – Most doilies will have an EVEN number of scallops on the edge, but it still helps to count
Step 2 – Decide where you would like to fold your doily – on the high or low point of a scallop
Step 3 – Using the scallops, line up all the edges and neatly fold the doily
Step 4 – Continue folding until all the doilies are complete
Step 5 – Tie a simple double knot in the end of your ribbon (do NOT measure and cut the ribbon at this stage) so you have a loop
Step 6 – Using your toothpick, put a thin line of glue along the centre fold and along ALL the edges of the doily
Step 7 – Place ribbon onto line of glue at the fold mark – ensure that the ribbon is FLAT with no twists in it
Step 8 – Gently fold over the doily and ensure that the edges all match and press FIRMLY with your hand so that all the surfaces/edges are adhered
Step 9 – Continue glueing and attaching doilies to the ribbon
Step 10 – Cut the ribbon with at least 10cm (4″) so that you can knot the end into a loop

If you make some of these whimsical Paper Doily Garlands
then it’s worth using doilies of various sizes.
The impact is huge!
.
So can you see these gorgeous little,
totally easy Paper Doilies in your home or at your celebrations?
If you do make some of your own I would love to see what you Create.
