I started to learn calligraphy when I was just eleven years old. I received a calligraphy set from my estranged father on my eleventh birthday, and it set me on a lifelong journey to write with chiseled nibs and ink.
At fifteen years of age I decided to write out all thirteen stanzas of the poem “The Lady of Shallott” by Lord Alfred Tennyson. I wrote it in emerald green ink and I kept it for six years.
Calligraphy only takes practice – honestly. And practice just needs patience.
So have a go.
I believe in you 🙂
